People with disabilities require two levels of support in their day-to-day life: standard and high intensity.  High intensity means specialized support. Excel disability support workers & specialist nurses look after your high-intensity needs including but not limited to:  

• Wound dressings
• Management of daily activities 
• Complex Bowel Care 
• Managing diabetics
• Assistance with Insulin injections 
• Feeding Ventilation  
• Urinary catheters  
• Complex tracheostomy care 

Our highly trained nurses and carers are here to support participants who have complex needs that are best met by someone who has medical training and experience. This service is considered when specific individual support needs include:

Difficulty in communicating

Behaviour support needs

Medical needs such as ventilation or home enteral nutrition 

Our community nursing care programme allows you to feel comfortable living in your own space and having care staff that you can trust 

Our in-home care services provide a customised regimen of care that focuses on individual needs 

Community nursing allows people to stay in their own homes and our caregivers provide an exceptional service

The Excel Team is here to help you with your daily personal activities including:  

• personal hygiene, showering, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing and grooming  
• toileting, bladder and bowel management and menstrual care
• attending appointments
•  use of aids & appliances, hearing & communication devices  
• mobility & transferring e.g. moving in & out of bed and on or off the toilet

Personal care is a basic human right & our experienced staff will endeavour to protect your dignity or that of your loved one. Our personal care supports are flexible and customised to suit your own needs, goals, and outcomes.  

At Excel, it’s all about you. Community services are about supporting people with a disability to  participate in their community. It's about getting out and about, meeting people, and trying new things! We will enable and support you to do the things that you enjoy including but not limited to: 

• attend personal development courses  
• join a social group  
• take an outing or a holiday  
• go on a holiday camp 
•  visit your local library  
• watch movies or a concert  
• go to community events
• join a sporting club 
• Assist with Transport requirements 

Excel team is happy to work with your child to enable them to reach their full potential. Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) is the way the NDIS supports children aged 0-6 years who have a developmental delay or disability and their families/carers.   As every child is different, we will tailor supports to your child’s individual needs and circumstances.  We will connect you and your child with the most appropriate supports in your area, such as the community health center, educational setting, and playgroup.  Some short-term early intervention will be provided where it has been identified as the most appropriate support.  We will work with your family to develop a plan that supports your child’s goal, and we will monitor and review your child’s progress towards the goals you have set.  Our highly trained team will support your family to improve your child’s independence and participation in everyday activities. 

At Excel we want you to lead a happy and independent life in the company of your friends or loved ones. We have a variety of organised group activities and activities with the best facilitators. Enjoy a wide range of social experiences and activities including sport, arts and craft, music, trivia, discos, and day trips. We can also help develop your skills with classes in cooking, job skills and money handling. 

Group activities provide opportunities for participants to engage in socialisation and provides long-day respite services for carers. Some of our activities include horse riding, music classes, cooking classes, dancing, quizzes and games, arts and craft as well as gardening.

Excel Care services provides travel and transport services to people with disability. Assistance with travel and transport include supports that enable participants to build capacity to independently travel, including through personal transport-related aids and equipment, or training to use public transport. 

Our experienced drivers will drive you to your appointment or another place in the community and take you back home.  We provide you with safe transport, scheduled in advance for your convenience.
